Working Principle
Screen Preparation: A screen, usually made of a fine mesh material like nylon or polyester, is used. The screen has a pattern or image to be printed blocked out in certain areas, while the rest of the screen allows ink to pass through.
Ink Application: Ink is poured onto the screen. A squeegee, which is a rubber or plastic blade, is then used to move across the screen. The squeegee forces the ink through the open areas of the screen and onto the filter material or product beneath.
Transfer and Fixing: The ink that passes through the screen adheres to the filter surface, forming the desired pattern or image. In some cases, heat or ultraviolet light may be used to cure or dry the ink quickly to ensure it adheres firmly to the filter.
Types
Manual Filter Screen Printing Machine: Operated by hand, the operator controls the movement of the squeegee and the placement of the filter materials. It is suitable for small-scale production, sample making or printing with low precision requirements.
Semi-automatic Filter Screen Printing Machine: Some processes, such as ink supply and screen lifting, are automated, but the operator still needs to place and remove the filter materials and control the squeegee to some extent. It has higher production efficiency than the manual type and is suitable for medium-scale production.
Fully Automatic Filter Screen Printing Machine: Can complete the entire printing process from loading the filter materials, printing, drying to unloading automatically. It is equipped with advanced control systems and sensors to ensure high printing precision and efficiency, and is suitable for large-scale mass production.
