Working Principle
Turntable Rotation: The machine is centered around a turntable. The turntable rotates intermittently, stopping at each of the six pre - defined stations. Each station is designed to perform a specific function in the tapping process.
Workpiece Loading and Unloading: At the first station, workpieces are loaded onto the fixtures on the turntable. As the turntable rotates, the workpieces move from one station to the next. After the tapping process is completed at the relevant stations, the finished workpieces are unloaded at the last station.
Tapping Operation: At the tapping stations, the machine uses tapping tools (such as taps) to create internal threads in the workpieces. The tapping tools are driven by motors, and the vertical movement for the tapping action is precisely controlled to ensure accurate thread formation. The machine may also have mechanisms to provide appropriate lubrication during the tapping process to improve the quality of the threads and reduce tool wear.
Applications
It is mainly used for tapping the bottom plate of oil and fuel filters.
